A 71-year-old man has been found guilty of aggravated criminal sexual abuse after a jury trial in Winnebago County.
Richard McClung faces three to seven years in prison when he’s sentenced by Chief Judge Joe McGraw in November.
Charges against McClung came 2011, when the victim came forward with allegations that he abused her. The abuse happened when the victim was 8 years old, Winnebago County State’s Attorney Joe Bruscato said.
Aggravated criminal sexual abuse is a Class 2 felony that also carries a penalty of up to two years of Mandatory Supervised Release and lifetime registration as a sex offender.
Sentencing is set for Nov. 3 at 9 a.m., in Courtroom 209.
