Rockford Symphony Orchestra announces one-day ticket sale

The Rockford Symphony Orchestra is hosting a one-day sale Wednesday, Sept. 17, in celebration of the grand opening of its new shared office with Northern Public Radio.

Tickets to the opening night performances of the Classics and Pops series will be available for $25 per ticket. Tickets can be purchased without limit for best available seating in the theater. Student tickets for Classics and Pops concerts will remain $7.

Tickets are available online at (use the code RSO80) and at the RSO box office. The following performances are eligible for the $25 ticket:

Rockford Health System Pops Series
Thing that go Bump in the Night”
Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, 7:30 p.m.

The RSO is beginning its 80th year of offering vibrant music experiences that enlighten, educate, and entertain. Under the artistic leadership of Music Director Steven Larsen, the Rockford Symphony Orchestra is a leading arts organization in the Rockford region and the third largest symphony orchestra in the state of Illinois. The RSO is made up of 65 professional musicians who perform 15 performances this year, including classics, pops, concerts for youth, and ballet in front of an estimated annual audience of 20,000. The RSO was named the 2007 Orchestra of the Year for Illinois.
