Woman, two teens arrested following narcotics investigation

Members of the Rockford Police Department Gang Crime Unit, Narcotics Unit and Community Services Unit have been investigating the sale of illegal narcotics at 413 Napoleon St. A search warrant was obtained and executed Friday, Sept. 19. Upon arrival, detectives located several subjects inside the residence. Upon searching the residence, detectives located heroin that was packaged for individual sale, one semi-automatic handgun, U.S. currency, and other items associated with drug trafficking.

The following were arrested:

Monica M. Blankenship, 43, of Rockford, charged with possession with intent to deliver more than 15 grams of heroin;

Josiah J. Dickens, 17, of Rockford, charged with unlawful use of weapons and unlawful use of weapons as a gang member; and

Malaysia Gray, 19, of Rockford, charged with resisting/obstructing arrest.

According to the Winnebago County Assessor’s Office, the owner of 413 Napoleon St. is MOPO Holding Series LLC.
