IREA to offer renewable energy classes

The Illinois Renewable Energy Association (IREA) will again offer classes in wind and solar this fall. A “Hands-on PV” class will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 1, at 1230 E. Honey Creek Road, Oregon, Illinois. To register, send name, contact information and check ($20 IREA members; $40 non-IREA members, which includes membership) to: IREA, c/o S. Vogl, Treasurer, 1230 E. Honey Creek Road, Oregon, IL 61061. Classes will also be held at Rock Valley and Illinois Valley colleges. “Small Wind for Homeowners” will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Rock Valley and from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, at Illinois Valley. “Overview of PV” (solar electricity) will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Rock Valley and from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, at Illinois Valley. To register, contact the colleges. These are continuing education classes.
