Rockton Lions and volunteers will be visible throughout the community Friday, Oct.10, accepting donations for their annual Candy Day fundraiser.
The organization will be giving away rolls of candy and accepting donations to help the visually and hearing impaired.
The event will take place at the corner of Blackhawk Boulevard and Main Street in Rockton from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Last year, the Rockton Lions collected over $3,000 on Candy Day.
This year, 60 percent of proceeds will benefit the Lions of Illinois Foundation, and 40 percent will go to the Rockton Talcott Free Library.
Check donations with “Candy Day” written in the memo will also be accepted. Send checks to:
