Woman hit with liquor bottle during home invasion

A woman was hit in the head with a liquor bottle Thursday, Oct. 23, during a home invasion on Rockford’s west side.

Two suspects entered a home at 1110 Morgan St. through an unlocked door and demanded money from a 22-year-old female, police said. When the victim did not comply, one of the suspects obtained a liquor bottle from the kitchen and stuck the woman one time. The men then fled on foot.

The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The first suspect has been described as a black male, 5-feet 6-inches tall. He was wearing a baseball hat, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and armed with a handgun. Police say the second mas was also armed with a handgun. He is black, 5-feet 8-inches, and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and baseball hat.
