Out with professional politicians
Illinois voters have an opportunity to purge our state of politics as usual by voting out Pat Quinn and Dick Durbin.
Pat Quinn talks about all he is doing for Illinois, but the results of his efforts are higher taxes (he promises they will go even higher) and jobs leaving the state. Not to China, but to Indiana and neighboring states. His policies will assure more of the same.
Dick Durbin comes to town every six years and tells us what he is working on to keep business in the U.S. He only shows up long enough to take credit for something he did with our money. He has been in Washington too long (32 years) and is so committed to supporting Obama that he has little time for Illinois.
Judging by their support from Washington, it appears both candidates are in trouble. When you need Joe Biden and Obama, with his dismal track record, to promote your campaign, you must be desperate.
Illinois is starting to elect candidates like Adam Kinzinger who we can be proud of. Let’s continue to make the nation respect those who represent us and send Durbin and Quinn on their way.
