At 80, Jesse White doesn’t seem to be slowing down. In fact, White continues to make the office of secretary of state tech friendly; the cyberdriveillinois.com website, along with an upcoming smartphone app, has transformed the office’s services.
Drivers can now renew license plates online and obtain information only available at DMV offices in the past. White has also overhauled brick-and-mortar driver’s license facilities throughout the state.
The highly successful organ and tissue donor program was created under White, who also oversees libraries, business services and state permits. First elected in 1998, Jesse White is the state’s longest-serving secretary of state. He deserves to continue building an already impressive legacy. Re-elect White.
