BELOIT, Wisconsin — The Beloit Fine Arts Incubator’s (BFAI) juried art show during its Nov. 7 artist reception featured more than 40 paintings depicting the subject of “The Play of Light and Shadow.” Fifteen artists vied for several prizes. The following were named winners:
♦ First place was “Joey” by Nancy Stone;
♦ Second place was “Concord” by Kathleen Ward;
♦ Third place was “Carousel Memories” by Brian Hartmann; and
♦ Honorable mention went to Sue Herring for “Apricity.”
The art was judged by artists Dan Wuthrich and Dean Folts. The show will be on display through Nov. 26.
BFAI is at 520 E. Grand Ave., Beloit, Wisconsin. The gallery is open 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday; 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday. Admission is free. BFAI can be reached at (608) 313-9083.
