Specialty group practitioners focus of Nov. 20 Healthcare Industry Update Luncheon

Rockford Chamber of Commerce will focus on the important role specialty group practitioners play in the local health care landscape during the chamber’s annual Healthcare Industry Update Luncheon Thursday, Nov. 20, at Giovanni’s, 610 N. Bell School Road, Rockford.

Scheduled speakers include a panel of specialists from nationally recognized specialty groups based in Rockford who will engage in dialogue about trends and impacts in health care. This is a unique opportunity to hear from medical providers who can discuss the local health care industry and its relationship to the broader business community.

Panelists include the following:

Michael Roh, M.D., Rockford Spine Center — Dr. Roh co-founded Rockford Spine Center in 2003 with the vision to create a comprehensive care facility dedicated solely to spinal care. He has special expertise in cervical spine surgery and minimally invasive surgery.

Brian J. Bear, M.D., Rockford Orthopedic Associates — Dr. Bear has been practicing medicine for 23 years and focuses on shoulder, elbow, hand, microvascular, traumatic and reconstructive surgery.

Joseph J. Vicari, M.D., Rockford Gastroenterology Associates — Dr. Vicari joined Rockford Gastroenterology Associates in 1997 and holds the academic rank of Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford.
