Summit Radiology to offer free Low Dose CT Lung Screening Scans

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month. It is our nation’s leading cancer-killer in both men and women.

The key to saving lives is early detection. Lung cancer screening saves lives.

Summit Radiology, 3849 N. Perryville Road, Rockford, has been designated a Lung Cancer Screening Center by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Summit is one of only two places in the state of Illinois with this accreditation.

During the month of November, Summit Radiology is offering free Low Dose CT Lung Screening Scans. No doctor’s order is needed; however, you must meet the following criteria set by the American Lung Association:

Age 55-74;

Current or former smoker (former smokers must have quit within the past 15 years);

30-pack-per-year history; and

No history of lung cancer.
