Rockford’s holiday tree to be installed Nov. 18

Rockford’s 32-foot holiday tree will be cut down in front of Heritage Baptist Church in Roscoe, Illinois, Tuesday, Nov. 18, and installed at its new home in front of PNC Bank Plaza in downtown Rockford.

The tree is to be cut down between 8 and 9 a.m., Nov. 18, then transported to Rockford from Roscoe between 9 and 10 a.m. The tree will then be trimmed and installed at PNC Bank Plaza, 120 W. State St., in downtown Rockford between 10 and 11 a.m.

The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Heartland Community Church, Tree Care Enterprises Inc. and R.L. Leek Industries, Inc., are working together to provide services and equipment to have the tree ready to be decorated. The community can volunteer to decorate for Stroll on State Nov. 21 and 22 by signing up at strollonstate.com.
