Rockford University to stage ‘Babes in Arms’ Nov. 20-23

Rockford University’s Performing Arts Department will stage the 1937 classic musical Babes in Arms, running Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 20-23, at Maddox Theatre.

The show is known for its exceptional score and number of well-known standards, like “My Funny Valentine” and “The Lady is a Tramp.”

Director and award-winning costume designer Professor Jeff Hendry shares that the show’s leads of young energetic performers is perfectly suited for the exceptionally talented group of students who are part of this production.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $9 for seniors and students. Shows are at 7:30 p.m., Thursday-Friday, and 2 p.m., Sunday. The box office is open 1-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, and opens at least one hour before show times. The box office can be reached at (815) 226-4100.
