The Annual Holiday Bake Sale & Bazaar for Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21-22, at the church, 108 N. Fifth St., Rockford.
Homemade Greek pastry will be sold, including baklava, koulouraki, kourambiedes, melomakarouna, diples, spinach and cheese triangles, pastichio and homemade bread.
In addition, a luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu consists of pastichio (a lasagna-like dish), spinach pie, Greek salad, bread, coffee and cookies. The cost for the luncheon is $8.
The gift shop and bazaar will offer cookbooks, icons, books, night lights, gift baskets, crafts and much more.
Advance orders are available for spanakopita (spinach triangles), tiropita (cheese triangles) and pastichio. To place an order, call (815) 282-9593.
All proceeds benefit the church and several charities, including Cornucopia Food Pantry, Alzheimer’s Association of Rockford, Remedies, Rockford Rescue Mission, Empty Stocking Club, American Heart Association, American Cancer Fun, Children’s Hospitals Missions and disaster relief efforts.
