James Edward Johnson to display musical range at Nordlof Center Nov. 23
One of the Rockford area’s most outstanding artists, James Edward Johnson, will be showcased in concert at 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Sullivan Theater in the Nordlof Center, 118 N. Main St., Rockford.
Johnson will be joined by an all-star ensemble of musicians offering a music menu for all tastes as they perform selections from opera, the classics, and Broadway and contemporary favorites that demonstrate his range and repertoire.
Johnson has delighted thousands with his voice as a performer with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra, numerous area churches, and other venues throughout northern Illinois and other parts of the country. This homegrown talent graduated from Rockford West High School, attended Millikin University as a jazz and commercial music major, and graduated from The College for Recording Arts, San Francisco, with a degree in audio engineering.
