Suspect, 17, charged in Halloween hit-and-run in Roscoe

Winnebago County State’s Attorney Joe Bruscato has announced a Winnebago County grand jury has returned a three-count indictment against a suspect in a Halloween hit-and-run in Roscoe, Illinois.
Carly Vollmer, 17, is charged with three counts of failure to report an accident involving personal injury. The indictment alleges Vollmer was driving on White School Road in Roscoe when she hit three kids walking along the road on Oct. 31, 2014.
Failure to report an accident involving personal injury is a Class 2 felony that is punishable by three to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, followed by two years of mandatory supervised release or probation.
Vollmer’s arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m., Dec. 18, in Courtroom C of the Winnebago County Criminal Justice Center.
