Local gas station employee arrested for selling liquor to minor

An employee at Kelley-Williamson Mobil, 7490 E. Riverside Blvd., Loves Park, Illinois, was arrested for the unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor, a Class A misdemeanor, following a Nov. 18 Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE) operation in Winnebago County.
Kelley-Williamson Mobil store employee Laurie A. Kellerman was arrested during the operation. She was released on a notice to appear in court.
The operation targeted 15 establishments in Rockford, Loves Park, South Beloit, Machesney Park and Pecatonica. The purpose of the ACE operation was to determine which businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to minors (those younger than 21).
