Stainbrook was the director of the Brown County Library in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where she directed eight branch libraries, 130 staff and an annual budget of more than $7 million. Before leading the Brown County Library, Stainbrook was the executive librarian at the Arlington Heights Library and Warren Newport Public Library. She holds a master’s degree in library science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a Janesville, Wisconsin, native.
Paul Logli, president of the RPL Board of Trustees, said: “We are very pleased to have Ms. Stainbrook with us. She has quickly set about learning all about the library and our city. We look forward to working with her.”
RPL, founded in 1872 as the second library in Illinois, has seven facilities, including the Nordlof Center, Main Library and five branch libraries. The mission of RPL is to educate, inform, entertain and culturally enrich the people of our community.
