Police investigate death of 71-year-old man who was struck in October while riding in his wheelchair

Rockford Police are investigating the death of 71-year-old Donald Williams of Rockford.

Williams was struck by a vehicle Oct. 6 while in his motorized wheelchair. He was transported by ambulance to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford with critical injuries. His cause of death is pneumonia as a result of an extensive head injury sustained during a motor vehicle crash.

    But the woman who was paralyzed by a drunk off-duty police officer and then later died from complications of being paralyzed wasn’t due to a motor vehicle accident???????
