Beloit Regional Hospice’s Generations Benefit Dec. 7

Staff Report

BELOIT, Wisconsin — The Third Annual Generations Benefit will take place Sunday, Dec. 7. The Generations Benefit is a fund-raiser run by Type A Images Photography to raise money for Beloit Regional Hospice. The benefit provides professional, classic studio portraits to grandparents and their grandchildren for a $50 donation. The participants get an 8-inch-by-10-inch photo and digital files, with all proceeds going to Hospice.

Amanda Reseburg of Type A Images is a supporter of Beloit Regional Hospice through her Hospice Photography Program. Reseburg gave her time and talents to Hospice patients by visiting them where they live and taking professional portraits at no cost. This was a benefit to the patients, as well as a moving way to document the end of life.

Reseburg explains her dedication: “I started the program in 2011 after all the support BRH gave to my hospice photography program. I wanted to give something back, and also wanted to do something for the grandparents in the stateline area. I was very close to my grandmother and a professional portrait with her from my wedding is one of my prized possessions. I love getting the families together and capturing a portrait that is not always able to be made during the course of the year. I support hospice for the simple reason that they support the community. The end-of-life process is one that deserves and requires a lot of professional and compassionate support, and the work that hospice does is vitally important.”
