Senseless death of the children unless they knew the killer, then he was making sure he left no witesses. Prayers go out to all family members for their horrific losses.

This sort of reminds me of the Natasha Cleary murder of her and her two children. I believe that was in 2011 and is still unsolved. The fact that the killer shot all of the victims including the children in both instances, is somewhat rare – even for this day and age. Whoever did this is not your garden variety criminal or killer. In each case you are dealing with a full-blown psychopath. While they are not likely related, I do hope the police have looked into this.
