Crusader physician receives national Excellence in Teaching Award

Crusader Community Health OB/GYN Dr. Antoun Al Khabbaz was the recipient of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics Excellence in Teaching Award (APGO).
Each year, APGO honors OB/GYN academic physicians who have made exceptional contributions to women’s health care education. The award was established in 1992 to recognize outstanding teachers in OB/GYN medical education. More than 1,500 physician educators have received this prestigious award since its inception.
Dr. Al Khabbaz, in addition to his OB/GYN practice at Crusader Community Health for the past seven years, is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. He received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, and completed his residency at the University Medical Center at Stony Brook, New York.
