Carlson Ice Arena, Sapora Playworld offer events Jan. 18-19

Rockford Park District’s Carlson Ice Arena and Sapora Playworld, 4150 N. Perryville Road, Loves Park, offer indoor fun for the whole family at the following two special events Sunday, Jan. 18:

• 1-3 p.m., Sapora Playworld — Experience a world of fun at this newly-refurbished indoor three-level soft playground. Explore Playworld, get your face painted, enjoy balloon art, and experience a one-of-a-kind magic show by TNZ Magic’s Zach Purcell. Admission fees are: youth ages 3-12, $5; tots ages 1-2, $2, and infants younger than 1 year of age, free (no discount coupons accepted).

• 1-3 p.m., Carlson Ice Arena — Public ice skating session including games, prizes and more. Admission fee is $5 per person including skate rental; ages 2 and younger admitted free (no discount coupons accepted).

Special Skate and Play discounted admission — attend both Jan. 18 events for $7 per person combined admission.

MLK Day Skate Jan. 19

Carlson Ice Arena will also offer a special four-hour public skating session on Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday, Jan. 19. The event runs 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is $5 per adult ($5.50 non-resident); $4 ($4.50 non-resident) for youth ages 3-17; and free for ages 2 and younger. Skate rental is available for $2 per person.
