RHS welcomes new board members

The Rockford Health System Board of Directors announced five new members.

The members will serve three-year terms from Jan.  through Dec. 31, 2017.

The new members are:

Neysa Alicea is a mechanical engineer with United Technologies Aerospace Systems (formerly Hamilton Sundstrand) where she has worked since 2008. She graduated with an Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez. Alicea also has an extensive background in Lean manufacturing.

Michael J. Fumo, M.D.,practices general urology at Rockford Urological Associates. He has a special interest in all aspects of the treatment for prostate cancer and in robotic surgery for the treatment of urological disorders. He has performed more than 1,000 robotic surgeries for the removal of cancerous prostates. Dr. Fumo earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his residency, fellowship and internship at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan.

Mark L. Goelzer, M.D., is the Director of Medical Affairs for Mercy Health System in Janesville. He’s board certified in pediatrics. He attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison, Wisc., and completed his residency at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, Mich. He’s a member of the board of directors for Mercy Health System, Mercy Alliance and MercyCare.

John J. Morrissey is a certified public accountant with more than 25 years of business, financial and Fortune 500 executive management experience. He has developed a broad expertise in accounting, management, financial analysis, payroll, human resources, and business strategy. Morrissey is President of Staff Management, Inc., Market Dimensions, Inc., and MPower HRIS Solutions, Inc. Together with John Morrissey Accountants, these organizations comprise the Morrissey Family Businesses.

Larry E. Squire is the Regional President for Johnson Bank in Janesville, Wisc. He received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business Management from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He’s a member of the board of directors for the YMCA of Northern Rock County, Forward Janesville and Mercy Health System.
