New IL AHEC centers to increase access to careers in health

The Illinois Area Health Education Centers Network (IL AHEC) has established four new centers with funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration.

IL_AHECThese centers will help provide education, public health programs and access to health care careers in urban and rural parts of the state.

The new centers are located in Galesburg, Bloomington-Normal, Gibson City and Chicago.

These centers join current IL AHEC locations in Polo, Ina, Fairfield and Chicago which served nearly 25,000 people from 2011-2014.
