Poetry contest finals at Jefferson, Tuesday

Poetry Out Loud will be holding its regional contest at Jefferson High School on Tuesday, Feb. 24th, at 6:30 p.m. for students from Auburn, Jefferson and Roosevelt.

First and second place winners of this contest will advance to the state competition in March, with the winner of that going to the nationals in April with $50,000 in awards at stake.

The regionals will be hosted by Jefferson Thespian Troupe and judged by George E. Davis, Tricia Sheridan, Dr. Kyle D. Stedman, Carol Zu-Bolton and Kathy Hopkins.

The regional contest is free and open the public. Jefferson High School is located at 4145 Samuelson Road.
