GiGi’s benefit for Down syndrome, March 21

GiGi’s Playhouse will be holding their ‘i have a Voice” fundraiser on March 21 at 6 p.m. at Giovanni’s Restaurant and Convention Center to celebrate the achievements of people of all ages with Down syndrome.

Local news anchor Whitney Martin will be the emcee of the event and it will feature Robert Pio Hajjar, a national speaker with Down Syndrome.

The Gala will include a sit-down dinner, performances by GiGi’s cheerleading troupe, silent as well as live auctions and dancing to the music of “Prime Time” with a special appearance by Harlan Jefferson.

GiGi’s Playhouse provides offers several education and therapeutic programs to people with Down syndrome and their families at no charge.

These programs help people with Down syndrome learn skills and gain confidence while supplying them with a strong feeling of acceptance.
