Electricity exhibit opens at Discovery Center Museum

The Discovery Center Museum has opened its new permanent exhibition gallery The Power of Electricity.

This exhibit teaches uses of electricity, how it is generated as well as the various things electricity can do.

Those attending will get to experience hands-on using, making, feeling and seeing electricity.

Various activities will be available interacting with items such as a plasma globe, a magnetic field, wind turbines and filters that simulate clouds to show how solar power works.

This gallery is available thanks to funding from Exelon, Comed and the Public Museum Capital Grants Program of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
