If you park your gas powered vehicle in a spot meant for an electric vehicle, you will be fined under a bill that passed the House Wednesday.

House Bill 198 from Democratic Representative Robyn Gabel prohibits non-electric vehicles from parking in a spot with a charging station.

If passed by the Senate and signed by the Governor there would be a $75 fine that goes to the municipality.

The measure passed the House 61-to-50.
