Author Richard Louv to speak at Earth Day Luncheon

Richard Louv will be on hand at Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful’s 8th Annual Earth Day Luncheon

Louv will speak about his view on “nature-rich life” and challenge us to to develop a future here where our lives are as immersed in nature as they are in technology.Louv, Richard, headshot 2012

In his bestseller “Last Child in the Woods” Louv exposed the mental, spiritual and physical costs of human alienation from nature.

In addition to his bestselling book, Louv has also been a keynote speaker at a White House Summit and received several awards for his journalism.

The luncheon will be held April 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Giovanni’s Restaurant and Convention Center, 610 N. Bell School Rd. in Rockford.

Tickets can be reserved for $65 until March 25, after that reserved tickets are $75 with corporate tables being available for $600.
