RAMI Benefit a smash hit

From Rockford Area Music Industry

The 17th RAMI Spring Benefit held March 21 rocked the Tebala Shrine Center.

Over 500 Rockford music lovers had a blast dancing, winning drawings, and bidding at the silent auction.

Attendees danced all night to the music of The Missing Links, Tripping Tarzan, Clutch Cargo and Dirty Fishnet Stockings, local bands who donated their time and talent for the evening.

The crowd was thrilled when surprise musical guest Bun E. Carlos sat in and played with the Missing Links. Emcees Ted O’Donnell of Luxe Productions and Eyewitness News anchor Nick Toma kept things rocking, rolling and entertaining!

Lucky winners at the auction left with items such as an autographed guitar donated by the current members of Cheap Trick, a drum head signed by the original members of Cheap Trick (donated by Carlos), and a new Pearl drum set donated by Guzzardo Performance Music. Over $13,000 was raised to support local music scholarships to youth in the Rockford area.
