The voting for this year’s annual Congressional Art Contest has begun.
The Congressional Art Competition is an annual event that allows high school students from our region, and across the country, to showcase their artistic abilities.
All high school students in the 17th District of Illinois were welcome to submit their artwork for the contest and the chance to have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year and two airline tickets to Washington, D.C.
The artwork of runners-up will be displayed in the Illinois and Washington, D.C. offices of Congresswoman Cheri Bustos.
Voting for this contest will continue through April 30.
The artwork can be viewed on Cheri Bustos’s Facebook page at facebook.com/RepCheri.
