Learn about birth options at LABORfest

The 3rd Annual LABORfest will be held Saturday at Rockford Wellness Center, 5732 E. Riverside Blvd., from 1-5 p.m.

The event is open to people of all ages and is held to raise awareness for birthing options as well as maternal and newborn care in the area.

Local care providers and vendors including midwives, doulas, a lactation consultant, reflexologist, chiropractors, artistans, mental health counselors and more will be on hand.

Admission is free with a $5 suggest donation to support the two area nonprofits improving birth, International Cesarean Awareness Network of the Rock River Valley and Illinois Friends of Midwives.

There will also be a silent auction and by taking a short survey you will get the chance to win the $430 GB Evoq 4-in-1 stroller and car seat travel system.
