Metro Medical donates first-responder kits to county
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police Division of Court Security announced the donation of four first-responder emergency medical kits from Metro Medical Services of Loves Park.
Deputies assigned to court security oversee the safety of all staff and the public. They currently respond to five Winnebago County buildings in the downtown Rockford area.
These deputies respond to medical emergencies ranging from heart attacks to lacerations. Metro Medical Services Owner Stuart Brown and Manager Jeff Stringer assembled four fully equipped over-the-shoulder medical kits enabling deputies to more quickly respond to emergencies.
Previously, deputies shared a single first aid kit between five buildings.
Metro Medical Services’ donation to the county is valued at approximately $1,200.
