Workforce Connection will be hosting “Open Doors to New Careers,” a series of information sessions on Thursday covering careers in high-demand industries in Illinois.
These sessions will feature employers discussing career opportunities and training needed to be hired in the customer service, manufacturing and computer technology fields.
The event is open to the public and will be held at the Regional Design Center at 315 N. Main Street.
Customer service career sessions will go from 9:30-10:45 a.m. followed by the manufacturing career panel from 11:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and computer information technology careers will go from 1:30-2:45 p.m.
Those interested in pursuing careers in these fields are welcome to attend more than one session.
Training providers will be on hand to discuss educational opportunities and representatives from The Workforce Connection will provide information about financial aid and scholarships.
