Aviators add two more to All-Star team

From the Rockford Aviators

Rockford Aviators are adding two new players to the Frontier League Western Division All-Star Team. Right fielder, Dusty Robinson and right-handed pitcher, Matt Frahm have been selected by the head coach of the Western Division.

Each manager of their respected All-Star team gets the privilege of selecting the final three players to complete their 27-man roster. James Frisbie, manager of the Rockford Aviators and Western All-Star team this season, has chosen two of the final three candidates from the very team he has led to a first place record.

Right fielder, Dusty Robinson has been a clutch hitter for Rockford all season. Hitting .294 with two home runs and 26 RBIs. Dusty also leads the league in doubles with 17. Familiarity and consistently in offense and defense has led to Robinson’s first All-Star selection.

Right-handed pitcher Matt Frahm has been superb out of the bullpen for Rockford this season. Owner of a 1-1 record and an ERA of 2.70 Frahm has been just what the Aviators have needed him to be. In just 23.1 innings pitched his 7/1 strikeout to walk ratio is one of the best in the league. Frahm is the fourth pitcher selected from the Aviators.

The first place Rockford Aviators now have eight personnel headed to Schaumburg next week. CF Michael Hur, 1B Devon Rodriguez, RF Dusty Robinson, RHP Kyle Brueggemann, RHP Tony Rizzotti, RHP Matt Frahm, RHP Kyle Hassna and head coach James Frisbie.
