City Market offers activities for the whole family

This Friday there will be a bin available at the information booth next to the Pepsi tent on the east side of the pavilion where they will be collecting CD’s for the “Off the Chain Link!” Public Art Project led by the Rockford Area Arts Council.

Only CD’s are requested; please leave the cases in your recycling bin at home.

Ian Frees, folk singer/songwriter, will be performing in the Pavilion during the City Market.

United Way of Rock River Valley and Rockford First Church will be offering kids’ activities.

Winnebago Buy Local, a coalition of local grassroots businesses, organizations and citizens in Winnebago County, will be at the gates educating the community and encouraging people to buy local, eat local and use local services.

The aim of Winnebago Buy Local is to keep our communities prosperous and sustainable through public community events, and convenient education and networking for local business owners.

The North End City Market on Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. will feature live music this Saturday by Andrew Willette and Sean Johnson and activities by River City Sound and Midway Village.
