After starting off with “Willy Wonka” in June, Bonzi Productions will be presenting “Legally Blonde the Musical” this weekend.
This musical follows the movie and is on the PG-13 side of things for some language and content.
The story follows Elle Woods as she makes the transition from Malibu to Harvard Law School, in her own Elle way in order to win back her boyfriend, Warner, who needs a girl who’s more serious for his future law career.
With plenty of guidance from a gentle intern, Emmett, Elle learns the ins and outs of becoming a lawyer and gets chosen by lead counsel, Callahan, to work on the team for a murder case involving work-out queen Brooke Wyndam; also a Delta Nu.
In the end, lessons are learned and some people change, with the main theme being, never judge a book by its cover and always be yourself.
“Legally Blonde the Musical” is staged and directed by Michele M. Bonzi and built by Mike Powder.
This show offers everything from comedy to drama, to love stories and exciting dancing attached to actual deep meaning songs with great beats and harmonies.
