Pink Heals Freeport hosts several fundraising events throughout the area
Pink Heals Freeport will be holding their first annual Motorcycle Fun Run on July 18 from 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
The Fun Run will start and end at Benchwarmers Bar & Grill, 2143 W. Galena Ave., in Freeport with food, music and a 50/50 raffle at Benchwarmers following the ride.
The cost for a single rider is $25 and a rider with passenger is $35, registration is available by calling 815-541-5484.
On Saturday, July 25 the iconic pink fire trucks are returning to Freeport.
They will be hosting two local chapters, Guardians of the Ribbon Northern Illinois and Guardians of the Ribbon Pink Heals Winnebago County, IL.
There will be two pink fire trucks and a pink police vehicle.
The day will begin at Sullivan Foods, 2002 W. Galena Ave., from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.
The employees of Sullivan’s will have a family event including D.J. Larry Pittsley, vendors, food, car wash, games for the kids, Pink Heals merchandise for sale, 50/50, raffle, specials throughout the store and much more.
Pink Heals will then head to Heritage Woods for a reception by the residents and their families and friends along with the employees.
Rock River Blood Center will be onsite for those who would like to donate blood.
Pink Heals will be at Fairway Ford, 555 W. Meadows Dr., from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. for the main event of the day, Touch a Truck and Fairway Ford Customer Appreciation Day.
There will be over a dozen different types of vehicles from a local garbage truck, to a 50 foot dairy truck to the Rockford Bomb Squad.
There also will be vendors, wellness booths, food, demonstrations, 50/50 raffle, silent auction, therapy dogs and much more.
This event is free to the public including the food, with good will donations being accepted.
For those unable to make the event at Fairway Ford they will be at Cimino’s Little Italy, 421 Challenge St., around 5:30 p.m.
