City Market introduces new vendors as second half of the market season begins

A variety of new vendors will make their first appearance at the market this season as Friday marks the beginning of the second half of the market season.

New vendors to the market include Charmed Treasures (jewelry), Event Baking Company (cinnamon rolls), Hildreth Organics (fresh eggs), J&C Old Fashioned Ice Cream, JK & Ace Gardens (produce), The Cheese Market, Twin Garden Farms (sweet corn and wild flowers), Wepa Cuisine (kabobs) and YU Crepes.

Kelly Steward will be performing folk rock/alt country this week during the City Market

Rockford Lutheran School will be providing activities for kids throughout the event.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) will be at the gates providing information about their services.

The rotating artist booth will feature Rockford Area Arts Council’s ArtsPlace with printmaking, painting and mixed media teams selling art.

The Rockford Health System booth at Market & Water Streets will give the public a chance to learn more about interventional heart procedures that save lives every day.

Staff from the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Rockford Memorial Hospital will share information about the technology and procedures that can bring your heart back to life.

The North End City Market on Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. will feature live music by Frank Calvanese and an activity for kids provided by the Boys & Girls Club.
