A variety of fresh produce is now in season from the local farmers including zucchini, tomatoes, mushrooms, lettuce and more.
The Firelight Dimmers will be performing this week at the City Market covering songs from the ’20s to ’50s.
Representatives from the Forest City Queen and Trolley Car 36, facilities of the Rockford Park District, will lead youth in making and decorating origami sailboats at the activity booth.
Natural Land Institute will also be at the Market providing activities for children.
Members of the Rock Valley College – Recruitment and Admissions Office and Athletics Department will be at the Market providing information about offerings from Rock Valley College.
Athletes and student ambassadors will be in attendance at all the gates, and representatives from the recruitment office will be hosting a table with information on how to enroll for the fall semester.
They will also have information about continuing education courses and fun, free activities the college is hosting for their 50th anniversary.
Rockford Health System will have a booth at Market & Water Streets this week to teach about an educational activity for market goers.
