Lake Geneva tornado confirmed following Tuesday’s storms

The National Weather Service confirm a tornado struck the Lake Geneva, Wisconsin area as part of Tuesday’s series of storms.

An EF-1 twister touched down in Lake Geneva just after 9 p.m. before tracking to the northeast, affecting the Vernon and Big Bend areas. NWS had issued a Tornado Watch earlier Tuesday afternoon for much of southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

NWS survey teams are further review damage caused by the storm. Only tree and minor property damage has been associated with the tornado as of Wednesday afternoon.
