The monthly drop-off recycling day for Ogle County residential electronics sponsored by the Ogle County Solid Waste Management Department will be Friday, August 28, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The location is at the County Annex Building (Health, Zoning, Solid Waste Departments) at 909 W. Pines Road, Oregon, at the south end of the building.
A $10 fee will be charged for each microwave oven brought in for recycling and checks should be made payable to Ogle County Solid Waste Management Department.
There is a limit of two TV’s or computer monitors (or one of each) per monthly event. This event is open to Ogle County residents only. Electronics from residents of other counties will not be accepted. If you reside outside of Ogle County, please contact your local health department for options for e-waste recycling, or contact an electronics retailer.
Those dropping off items should remove any original packaging from electronics prior to drop-off, OCSWMD cannot accept large cardboard boxes, Styrofoam or other packaging associated with electronics destined for recycling.
Dehumidifiers, air conditioners, appliances, coffee pots, crockpots and lamps will not be accepted.
