Rockford Music Academy will be hosting Bach, Blues & Brews, a presentation of classical music, blues and jazz from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, September 13 at Carlyle Brewing Company, 215 East State Street. This event is sponsored by Azimuth CNC.
Jon Rozman and Gavin Epperson, Music Academy alumni, and their friends, will perform along with Academy faculty members and students. An open mic performance of the Bach Double Violin Concerto will be presented and alumni, students and friends are welcome to join in. Craft beer and root beer by Carlyle Brewing Company will be served along with pub-style appetizers from downtown restaurants Carlyle and Capri, and by Paul Sletten of Abreo and PK Diner.
Tickets include either four samplers of beer or two pints and are $25 for adults and $15 for students 18 and under. Root beer and wine also will be served. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling The Music Academy at 815-986-0037 and are also available at the door.
