Cubs: Russell out for NLCS; Lester gets Game 1 start
Addison Russell left Game 3 of the NLDS with “hamstring tightness.” Now that tightness is set to keep him out of the NLCS.
WSCR 670 The Score’s David Schuster says that Russell will miss the championship series match up against either the Mets or the Dodgers with what manager Joe Maddon called a hamstring strain:

Javier Baez will continue at shortstop with Starlin Castro at second. Baez has collected five hits from five at-bats since replacing Russell in Game 3, including a 3-run home run to blow open Game 4.
Jon Lester will get the nod for Saturday’s Game 1, 6:30 p.m. on TBS. Jake Arrieta goes to the mound for Game 2 on Sunday.
The Cubs worked out at Wrigley Field Thursday and will travel Friday morning to New York or Los Angeles.
