The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Rock County/Dementia Care Specialist will conclude the free Alzheimer’s disease and dementia fall educational series at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27 at the Job Center in Room D/E, 1900 Center Avenue, in Janesville.
The final installment in the series is entitled “Dementia: Discussions, Driving and Deciding.” Cori Marsh, Dementia Care Specialist at the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Rock County in conjunction with Huntington Place of Janesville will present this important program. Ms. Marsh will be providing tips on having those difficult conversations about things such as driving, living arrangements and other difficult topics.
“Having those difficult conversations are doubly difficult when someone has memory loss and are unable to fully understand the need for the discussion because they truly believe things are going okay,” said Marsh. This free program is open to the public and is part of our ongoing Dementia Friendly Rock County Initiatives. Preregistration is not necessary for this program.
