The second annual What-Khan game convention returns to the Indoor Sports Center at 8800 E. Riverside Blvd. in Loves Park this weekend. Historical, science fiction, and fantasy-based games of all kinds, including board games, strategy games, and role-playing games will be played throughout the weekend. The dealers’ area will feature merchandise each day of the convention. The convention run from noon-11 p.m. on Friday, 8 a.m.-11 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday.
There will be sessions of adventure, role-playing games (RPG) and board games including Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and Wings of Glory. Tournaments will be held throughout the weekend for popular games like Star Wars X-Wing, Bolt Action and Warhammer 40,000. New games are added daily. Check What-Khan.com for the latest additions.
Special Guest Dan Houser will be on hand throughout the weekend. Dan is a professional RPG illustrator and has worked on many different types of games. He is best-known for his work as Line Artist on ICONS RPG by Ad Infinitum and Green Ronin games, but has done work for Goodman Games, Gaming Paper, Melior Via and several other companies.
Admission for What-Khan is $10 for Friday, $15 for Saturday and $8 for Sunday. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by a paying adult. Tournaments may require a separate registration fee.
