University of Illinois Extension, in partnership with Main Street Bistro and the Freeport Downtown Development Foundation, has announced they will be holding a 2015 Openfields Local Foods Harvest Dinner. This event will serve as a way to learn and hear more about the recent accomplishments of the Pretzel City Kitchens and what they have planned for the future.
Chef Craig Perkins will be creating a 4-course menu using local foods from the area. The menu will include a choice of lamb, duck, or open-face brisket plus soup, salad and a dessert. The cost for the meal is $40 per person. The dinner will be held on Monday, November 30 at 6 p.m. with seating and dinner at 6:30. Main Street Bistro is located at 109 S. Galena Avenue in downtown Freeport.
