Barnes and Noble in Cherryvale mall will be hosting Becky Monroe, author and animal advocate, on Sunday, December 6 from 1-3 p.m.
Released this summer, Bark Until Heard is Monroe’s personal journey into the harsh world of puppy mills. The book details her experience rescuing mill dogs, fighting for justice and finding joy in an unexpected place.
“At a time when puppy mills are faltering under new legislation, this book will inspire you to join that fight. A sensitive well-written exploration by a woman who finds meaning in her life while giving the gift of a real dog’s life to her puppy mill dogs.”- Marilyn Knapp Litt, reviewer.
Monroe is a long-time animal advocate and experienced journalist. She says that Bark Until Heard is her passion project to wake-up the world to the horrors in mass breeding facilities and inspire others to be the voice for animals everywhere.
Monroe and her mill dog turned certified therapy dog, Thorp, will be available to meet and speak with as well as to sign copies of her book.
