For their December gallery show the Beloit Fine Arts Incubator will be presenting a pair of accomplished watercolor artists. Deb Shimondle and Pat Roedel, both natives of Wisconsin, are trained artists from the University of Wisconsin system. The show opens December 4 with an Artists Reception from 5-8 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public to offer a chance to meet the artists and learn more about their art.
Shimondle uses a realistic style and shares her own reality through her art. Using this method allows inspiration to happen at any time and is not limited to one subject matter. Shimondle divides her time between Beloit and Florida and her work has been displayed in both locations in private and public collections.
Pat Roedel is a well-known Wisconsin artist from Madison. Roedel recently gained a love for watercolor because of the freshness of the color and the quickness of the painting style. Roedel has won several awards for her art as well as two awards at the Edge of the Rock Plein Air Events in Beloit.
The opening night of the gallery show coincides with downtown Beloit’s Holidazzle event. In honor of this the Beloit Fine Arts Incubator will be offering complimentary snacks plus several other artists will be offering their art for sale. The gallery show will continue through December. The Beloit Fine Arts Incubator is open Monday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
